VANCOUVER, July 2, 2003 -- Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (DDN-TSX Venture) announces that the private placement of 909,091 units announced June 25, 2003 has been completed. A total of 909,091 units were issued to Teck Cominco Limited on June 30, 2003. Each unit consists of one common share and half of one non-transferable common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share at a price of $1.10 per common share until June 29, 2004. The securities are subject to a hold period and may not be traded until October 30, 2003.
