Diamonds North Announces Senior Management Appointments

VANCOUVER, March 3, 2006 - Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: DDN) is pleased to announce the expansion of its senior management team. Nancy Curry, Graham Gill and Bruce Kienlen have been appointed as officers of the Company. The Company has experienced rapid growth through land acquisition and project development. These appointments will facilitate further growth of the Company and better enable Diamonds North to meet the current and future demands of its exploration strategy and objective of discovering Canada's next diamond mine.
Since the inception of Diamonds North in 2002, the Company has built what it believes to be the most prospective diamond property portfolio in Canada. The Company started with 2 million acres of land and within three years built the land position to 27 million acres. The Company has successfully advanced its projects and focused its land position to 17 million acres of key land covering more than 10 project areas, five of which are drill ready with one project encompassing a new diamond district in Canada.
Under the expanded management group, the VP Exploration and VP Operations will work closely in developing all exploration conducted by the Company. Together they will ensure that only the best projects are advanced in the most effective and efficient manner.
Bruce Kienlen, VP Exploration, will be responsible for guiding and developing exploration planning with a strong focus on diamond data interpretation. The main function of this role is to generate, assess and advance the Company's diamond projects.
Graham Gill, VP Operations, will be responsible for coordinating and implementing exploration activities on the Company's major exploration projects and programs. The main function of this role is to develop and implement programs to ensure that properties are effectively advanced.
Nancy Curry, VP Corporate Communications, will be responsible for expanding the Company's marketing strategy, and increasing its market presence while complying with Continuous Disclosure regulations.

Diamonds North also thanks Bernard Kahlert for his efforts and contribution as VP of Exploration since the formation of the Company in 2002. Mr. Kahlert will continue as a director of Diamonds North and also serve as Senior Advisor, Special Projects.
